A New Approach To Music Therapy
Under the administration of Dr. Steve Berman and the University of Central Florida's Institutional Review Board, Fiore Music is taking the field of Music Therapy in a whole new direction.
With the majority of field research up till now focused on listening to music, Fiore Music is begining to study the effects of performing music. There are many experiments we already have lined up in order to answer many questions about music's therapeutic qualities.
How do the following things affect mood and personality development:
*Key
*Mode
*Instrument
*Tone
*Style
*Tempo
*Time Signature
The first series of experiments are just begining, and we are preparing to present our research at some very high profile conventions such as the South East Psychology Association's yearly convention in Jacksonville, and the American Psychology Association's annual convention in Washington D.C. this academic year.
Any music educators that are interested in this research or have any students that would like to participate should contact us as soon as possible as the more participants we have, the more accurate our studies will be.
Fiore Music appreciates any support offered to the investigation of music as a form of psychological healing and if it really aides in personality development. Let's work together to find once and for all if music truly does have the power to heal.
