This digital do-it-yourself approach allows us to keep our cost to the customer low, while still providing excellent flexability and quality.

Here is an idea (just a small sample) of our facilities:

*Sonar Producer Edition DAW
*BFD Virtual Drum Plug-in
*Korg Legacy Keyboard VST Plug-in
*Original Moog Synth VST Plug-in
*Full Array of Mixing Plug-ins including

Reverb, Delay, Chorus, Flange, Phaser, Pitch Shift, and many more
*The legendary Antares Auto Tune Plug-in
*Vintage Channel 64 Digital-Analog Mastering Plug-in

When you book your studio time, a Fiore associate will go over the type of session you are looking to do. We have several approaches to recording and here is a list of options we offer at Fiore Music.

*Live Recording

We will set up the entire group to record to one stereo track. This is the vintage method of recording as it was at Chess and Sun Records in the late 40's and early 50's. While this takes a level of accomplishment as a musician, if you know your tunes this method is certainly the fastest and most economical. Once the band's levels are set at the begining of the session, they can quickly record one song after another.

After tracking is done, since the entire band is on a single track, there is no editing needed and mixing and mastering can be done very quickly (usually in the same day).

*Live Recording with Track Separation

In this recording approach, we set the band up together and record the entire band simultaneously, but instead of tracking the whole band to one track, we record every member to their own separate track. This technique allows you to go back and overdub mistakes and allows us to mix the band individually allowing for much more detail in post production.

This method is very similar to the way music was recorded in the 70's when such bands as Pink Floyd and Queen began utilizing 8 track reel-to-reel technology. This is how many modern progressive bands still do all of their recording.

*Individual Tracking

Individual tracking is very popular with most artists in today's music world. In this approach we begin by laying down the entire drum part by itself, then we put the bass on top of the drums, next add rhythm guitar followed by lead guitar, then finally vocals and overdubs. While this method allows for the maximum amount of accuracy (since every player can do his own take as many times as needed without affecting the other musicians' performance) it can prove to be very costly and time consuming.

This method is exactly how many classic metal bands such as Metallica and Megadeth recorded all of their legendary albums. As an example of how time consuming this approach can be, when Metallica recorded ...And Justice For All, they spent 3 weeks on the clock just getting the drums to sound satisfactory.

Studio Musicians

Need a session player? No problem, Fiore Music has a large database of locally based professionals that can be ready to perform on your recording on very short notice if need be. Need a drummer? Let us book one, or we can book an engineer to program your drums and run them through BFD. Need a guitarist or bassist? We got 'em. Back up singers? Keyboard players? Horn Section? Got 'em, Got 'em, Got 'em.

All session players are booked through Fiore Music and rates vary from player to player and project to project. For more detailed information on session players simply contact us.

CD Printing and Duplication

Once your session is tracked, edited, mixed, and mastered the hard work is done. Upon session completion you will recieve a Master Disc, an Audio CD with the final mix at 16 bit/44.1k standard quality, and a Data Disc with all your songs at a 128mb MP3 format for immediate upload to the web.

If you would like Fiore Music to produce copies of the CD for you we certainly offer the service. In order to keep costs low we encourage simplicity of design. A standard CD-R with a black and white printed label and packaged in a simple white sleeve just makes sense these days. Leave the fancy 16 page full color booklets and ridiculously over done printing on the CD to the Major Labels. Keep your product to the point and let your music and creativity garner the attention, not someone elses graphic design ideas.

While there are certainly bulk printing companies out there who can beat our prices, they usually require orders in the tens of thousands in order to secure the low prices. Fiore Music offers you the same low rates no matter how many CDs you need produced.

Rates:
*CD Duplication Per Unit    $1
*Label Design                        $20 (free with order of 25 or more CDs)
